  • “The kings of Brooklyn are back,” states their bio. These guys are the real deal. They personify tha hardcore! It’s mindless tough guy bands like this that turned me off to tha hardcore. Just by looking at the sophomoric simpleminded song titles (i.e.: “My Life, My Way”, “The Fire Burns Inside”, “Killing to be Free”, “Filled with Hate”, “Set Me Free”, etc.) it’s clear that there is absolutely nothing going on upstairs. This is really music of the lowest common denominator. Get this: the band will “pummel the listener with verse after verse of pit-worthy reality”. What the listener in reality gets are tired riffs, the obligatory stooopid gang bang backup vocals and super knuckledragger lyrics. These guys are oh-so serious, but what is it that they are serious about? They love to talk about how angry they are and dis their enemies. We have no idea where their anger stems from, who these enemies are and why the hell should you or I give a flying fuckload. This is music for angry men with small penises and the small minds that go with them. I don’t know what’s worse -- suburban collegiate screamo or this urban tough-guy craporama. I can’t believe I listened to this garbage twice all the way through. The things I do for you readers out there to get the job done.

What I also can’t believe is that there are 7 other full-lengths by this horrible excuse for a band. They have been around forever and any half-witted angry 15-year-old punk kid could have done a better job than this dreck. Think I’m kidding? Get a load of this simpleton stupidity: “Don’t try and help me, just stay the fuck out of my way." With pleasure, assclown! You who talk of “the hardcore dream of unity”, “I’m filled with hate, gonna make you feel my pain”. I would say your music is painful to listen to (so yes, I feel your pain dudely) because it’s worse than bad. It sucks the Johnny Wad! I love how their bio describes it as “life changing music”. It’s life changing for the brainless. “I’m the real fuckin’ deal this ain’t no disguise, think I’m fucking around take a look in my eyes.” Ooooh, how friggin’ profound. Like if I was in middle school. They make label mates HATESPHERE (who actually show some potential) look like Lou Reed by comparison as far as lyrics go. “This is for real this is who we are”. What you are is a bunch of cretins with absolutely nothing to say. I’m all for “telling it like it is”, but if you have nothing to “tell” then would it not make more sense to keep your mouth shut?
