Dick, I called ProShow support yesterday, and was told that sometimes in combined shows, some of the shows will revert to the default setting. In most cases simply the brand identifier will suffice, but it’s a good idea to double-check with DumpEDID anyway. I thought you were intending to use the Win7 machine which didn’t match the x, but if that matches what the machine you’re going to use, then that’s the right choice. If so, can you connect the TV by any other type of connection? Specifically, you need 4 bytes that are part of your monitor’s EDID data. I have to do it every time I bot up vista! This gave me the same problem as on the Windows 7 desktop, which is x If everything only looks good on XP, could this problem have to do with the operating system? Make sure your Color Depth Colors is set to 32 bits for the best picture. When I turn on my computer, the monitor says: Take a look at the description field as well, as it sometimes contains the model name of the monitor at the end. There’s no option on my vista machine for x Somehow my screen resolution got extremely decreased. So I just upgraded my machine. Can you tell us which parts were out of date so we can update them?

That won’t affect the playback at all, but unless you also set PSG with a custom aspect 1900×12000, rendering at x means ProShow will end up making a compromise to get things to fit. Hopefully I can avert other problems.

None of the information on this page is new; all of the visa presented here is the hard work of other people specifically at HardForum and Guru3D. In all known cases, it has been reported that the standard Windows drivers display the x resolution flawlessly, confirming that it is indeed a driver problem.
That’s a mismatch for ProShow aspect ratios, it’s not 4: For the Windows 7 computer, the native resolution for the monitor is x Screen resolution visfa to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. Kinda grasping at straws but nothing obvious occurs to me. Last I checked, we didn’t have any sort of software that lets us have two different resolutions. If you’re having the problem described here, then this fix is likely to resolve it, as many different people with widely varying setups have reported success with this method.
